Just a little bump...

During December of 2022, we noticed a little bump that had started growing on Magnus's lip. Over a week or so, it just started to grow a little bigger. So we thought we might just go see what the vet says. It didn't seem to hurt him, so it wasn't really a big concern. After a quick exam, the veterinarian said this was something called "COPV" (Canine Oral Papilloma Virus). The way it was explained was that this is the same thing as HPV that humans can get, but just for dogs. Not contagious to people, but highly contagious for dogs. In almost all cases, the pup will fight it off with their own immune system. In rare cases, they may need a little extra help. Well it definitely seemed to be normal for dogs to fight it off on their own since none of the other 3 dogs we have ever showed any signs of having contracted it.
We were told that we should just wait a little while and it will most likely go away in about a month. So, wait we did.
